Lab Automation Control Systems
Lab Automation Control Systems (LACS)
LACS is a safety shutoff device system that controls a combination or all utilities within a science classroom. This system consist of a control panel with either multiple or individual accompanied panels based on the utilities controlled. To monitor all electrical outlets located at the student and teacher’s work station, a NEMA 1 enclosure is provided with the proper number of (four) pole contactors. This enclosure is typically installed in the ceiling. To enable all utilities after an emergency situation has been cleared a system safety key is used. These procedures provide a safer environment for students and teachers.
